Washington My Health My Data Act
Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective September 15, 2026. Last updated September 15, 2026.
Washington's My Health My Data Act requires a separate policy for consumer health data. This is that policy. It is its own page on purpose, and it is not a section inside our general Privacy Policy.
Why this page exists
We are a licensed massage therapy and wellness coaching practice in Washington. Washington law treats information that can reveal your health status broadly. That includes things like an injury, a pain complaint, a body part that is bothering you, or the fact that you are looking for a specific kind of treatment.
Our website contact form can collect that kind of information, so this page tells you exactly how we handle it.
What we treat as consumer health data
On this website, we treat all of the following as consumer health data:
- The service you pick from the list on our contact form, because it says what kind of treatment you are looking for.
- Anything you type into the message box about your body: pain, an injury, soreness, a past surgery, mobility, recovery, training goals, or a symptom.
- The fact that you contacted a massage and wellness practice at all, when it is tied to your name, phone number, or email address.
Your name, phone number, and email address are collected alongside that information on the same form, so we treat them as linked to it.
How we collect it
One way only: you type it into the contact form on this website and press send. We do not buy health information about you. We do not get it from data brokers. We do not guess at it from your browsing.
We do not collect precise location data anywhere on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your message.
- To answer your question about a service.
- To work out whether a session is a good fit and to schedule it.
- To give you pricing and availability.
That is the whole list. We do not use it for advertising, we do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not use it to make decisions about you outside of your care.
Who it goes to
We do not sell consumer health data. We have never sold it, and selling it would require your separate signed authorization under Washington law, which we do not ask for.
We do not share consumer health data for advertising. We do not share it with data brokers. The only companies that touch it are the ones that move your message from the form to us and keep it there:
- A form delivery service, which carries your submitted form to our email inbox.
- Our email provider, where your message sits in a normal business inbox.
- Our web host, which delivers the website itself and keeps standard server logs.
Those companies handle it to provide their service to us, not for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
If you book a session, you leave this website for a separate online booking and scheduling service. Anything you enter there, including intake and health questions, is handled under that service's own policy. This policy covers our website.
Your rights under the My Health My Data Act
If you are a Washington consumer, you have the right to:
- Confirm whether we are collecting, sharing, or selling your consumer health data.
- See a list of every third party we have shared it with, and a way to contact them.
- Withdraw your consent to our collection and sharing of it.
- Have it deleted, including from our backups and from the companies listed above.
To use any of these rights, email handsoftime.wellness@gmail.com or call (602) 380-7829. You can also write to us at 5601 W Clearwater Ave, Unit 107, Kennewick, WA 99336.
We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and take up to 45 more days. There is no charge. We do not require you to make an account to ask.
If we turn down your request, we will tell you why and how to appeal. If we deny your appeal, you can complain to the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
How long we keep it
Your message stays in our email inbox until we delete it. We do not run an automatic delete schedule, and we are not going to claim one we do not have. Ask us to delete it and we will, and we will confirm when it is done.
A note about your care records
This page is about our website. Records created when you actually become a client, such as intake forms, treatment notes, and anything you sign in the studio, are health care records. Those are handled under the rules that apply to a licensed provider, and they are kept separately from website messages.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle consumer health data, we will update this page and change the date at the top before the change takes effect.
